Lili Bird
Before she played it, Lili de la Mora danced at it. The Good Foot! was, she says, “my go-to dancing place” through its early Que Sera years. She started DJing herself in the mid-2000s.
Dennis asked her to spin at a Long Beach Museum of Art event in 2018, and then asked her to join the residency. She did not entirely believe it:

Alongside The Good Foot! she hosts Bird Calls at the Bamboo Club — exotica, latin, surf, lounge, jet-set and world records — and co-runs RPM International with Desi, an all-vinyl night that travels the globe by record. That range is what she brings to every third Friday: as likely to pull a Peruvian cumbia or a Martin Denny side as a deep soul 45, and the floor follows her either way.
